Hello children and parents!
My name is Carolina Graf and I´m the teacher who will be in charge of the group of American students during the school day. We will have Spanish clases to practice the language while we learn about tango, soccer, history and other topics related to Argentina. You will also take part in a number of activities aimed at letting you experience the Argentinian culture. Don´t forget your cameras because there will be visits to beautiful places in our city and get ready to enjoy some delicious traditional foods, since we are having a couple of cooking sessions. Besides, you will attend some regular classes with the students of Northern Hills and have tango lessons.
Next week I will post the schedule for the first days, and, once the program begins, parents and friends will be able to see in this blog pictures and descriptions of the most important activities.
Before finishing, I´d like to ask the students to do a simple assigment:
*Quisiera que cada uno escriba en la sección para comentarios un texto breve en español ( 200 a 300 palabras aproximadamente) presentándose y contando qué expectativas tienen para el programa.

Hola, they call me Spencer. Me gusta musica, especialmente la musica latinoamericana. Me gusta todos los tipos: La Cumbia, Son Cubano, Salsa, Rumba, Zamba, pero mi favorito es Nueva Canción. Como Victor Jara, mi idolo. Recientemente me hecho un blog de Tumblr donde comparto musica latinoamericana. Un amigo me ayuda con el blog, pero él no le habla español. No sé todo lo que va a pasar en Argentina. ¿Qué será el horario? Quiero saber todo sobre Argentina y su cultura. Voy a aprender mucho en clase y afuera en las calles, y en casa, hablando con la gente y con la familia que me voy a estar con. Voy a leer mucho... Libros, newspapers, cualquier cosa que me parece interesante. ¡Quiero aprender el Tango! No puedo bailar ahora. Ojala que puedo aprender Tango. Tengo optimismo. No conozco a nadie el el grupo menos Madeleine y Alicia. Quiero conocer con toda la gente del grupo. Pues, vamos a pasar mucho tiempo juntos en clase, y por eso la amistad va a crecer. ¡No puedo aguantar esperando por el 18 de junio! ¡Estoy listo para viajar!
